Thursday, June 6th
Dear parents,
Thank you for all coming to our little show! While we experienced some tribulation and role confusion, the children were all very invested in the play and did a fairly job remembering their lines. We hope you enjoyed it.
Lundi 6 juin
Dear parents,
Thank you for all coming to our little show! While you could not hear some of the children very well, they all did an excellent job remembering their lines. We hope you enjoyed it.
A quick word on our class:
April-May
Dear parents,
Here is a summary of our progress in the French class. A lot happened since mid-April:
- We have completed our "Animaux farfelus" (drawings + presentation). Emma C. presented her animal to the class.
Friday, May 13th
It has been agreed that for the last two remaining lessons the class will begin at 3:45 instead of 3:30.
March 31st and April 7th
Here is a report for the last two classes:
March 31st
Tuesday, April 6th
Yesterday, the kids were rather calm and quiet, probably due to Maya's presence - a prospective student!
Friday, April 1st
Today was April's Fools Day or "le 1er avril" so we talked about the French custom of trying to stick paper fish to people's back, and also gave it a try! You will see underneath the students' backs at the end of class! Kids learnt a new song, entitled "Les petits poissons" (the little fish), managing to sing along easily!
Wed. March 30th
Dear Parents,
Here is a recap of yesterday's lesson:
- First, each of the kids told the others about their book. We came accross words like "tipi", "glisser" and "brûler". Even Julien, although it was just 2 or 3 sentences.
- We focused on the "s" sound, which can be spelled both <s> and <c> in French, and got us to encounter "vase", "seau" and "sirop".
RECAP January-February-March
Dear parents,
Here is a recap for the past lessons.
January: After wrapping up the Christmas theme, we focused on classroom supplies and commands, and took personal introduction one step further, making sure every pupil could make nice sentences. Kids could also test their new comprehension skills with the story of "le petit chaperon rouge" (Little Red Riding Hood) all in French!
